Soccer
Hi, today in middle block, we played soccer and I scored 3 goals. Each time I scored a goal, nearly everyone on my team would give me hi-5s and congratulate me and I thought it was very encouraging to get out there and give it my best. Thank you to everyone on my team for being kind and caring.

Speed Writing
In case you don't know, speed writing is when you have a certain topic and a certain time to write as much as you can on that topic or anything that creeps into your mind at the time and if you don't know what to write, then write you don't know what to write and you aren't allowed to stop. In class at school on 13 May 2009, I did speed writing. The topics we did were: Green, Lego, A Vampire Cat from Vietnam. Here is what I wrote for the topics:
Green
Green is the colour of nature and nature is good.
Lego
Lego is awesome. I make awesome things out of Lego with my dad.
A Vampire Cat from Vietnam
I don't know what to write. A vampire cat strolled down an alley as he looked for a human to bite. Um, I don't know what...we have 50 seconds left I think. Think, how do we think? We have 5 seconds left.
So, as you should be able to figure out speed writing isn't just writing fast and it can be used as a writing warm up.

Holidays
It's the school holidays today at 3:00 and I'm going to Port Waikato after a weekend at Ohope Beach and I'm so excited because there will be a bouncy pillow and the BEACH!!!! Although there is black sand and that can get really hot so I have to take jandals (obviously) so my feet don't burn. I'm so excited because I'm going CAMPING!

Cybersafety
Cybersafety is a way to be safe on the internet. Cybersafety is probably the best thing for young kids who to learn for safety on the internet. I will now mention the top ten Cybersafety rules:
1. Never mention your name
2. Saying someone is bad at something is cyberbulling
3. Writing in capitals means shouting (can be offensive)
4. Lol means laugh out loud (could be offensive)
5. Never mention your address/phone number
6. Never meet anyone off the internet
7. Never accept anyone's personal information
8. Calling someone a name is against cyber safety
9. Don't swear as it can be called an offence
10. Never ask a stanger out on the internet because for all you know it could be a ten year old not a fifteen or so year old.
Now you know the rules you should obey them for the safety of yourself and others as well. Do the right thing!
