Cybersafety

Cybersafety is a way to be safe on the internet. Cybersafety is probably the best thing for young kids who to learn for safety on the internet. I will now mention the top ten Cybersafety rules:

1. Never mention your name
2. Saying someone is bad at something is cyberbulling
3. Writing in capitals means shouting (can be offensive)
4. Lol means laugh out loud (could be offensive)
5. Never mention your address/phone number
6. Never meet anyone off the internet
7. Never accept anyone's personal information
8. Calling someone a name is against cyber safety
9. Don't swear as it can be called an offence
10. Never ask a stanger out on the internet because for all you know it could be a ten year old not a fifteen or so year old.

Now you know the rules you should obey them for the safety of yourself and others as well. Do the right thing!

How does music affect learning?

Every teacher thinks that playing music in class hours will affect children's learning because they will sing instead of work but, is that true or do teachers make a big mistake?

In my opinion, teachers are the ones that made the mistake because I find (but this is just me and everyone's different and unique) that music helps me work because it means I don't get bored senseless.

In summary, children need music to work even if it is extremely quiet. But music being quiet would make the children quiet so that they can hear in although it could start a small argument but that is unlikely.

Colin McCahon

In class we had to research a famous artist and I couldn't think of one so I decided to research Colin McCahon because my teacher suggested him.

Colin McCahon was a famous NZ artist born 1st August 1919 Timaru, passed away 27th May 1987 Auckland. He worked during his life as an artist but he also worked in art galleries and as a university lecturer. Some of his best work is the size of a wall! Colin McCahon started to experiment with cubism in his artwork after working with Mary Cockburn-Mercer in Melbourne. I like his work because it's all unique, style and everything.
